Prove People Wrong

Updated: Jan 19, 2021

So. We all do it. We're always overthinking and not wanting to stop being friends with someone. But. Sometimes we have to make those tough decisions.

Let's have a read.

"After you continuously forgive & forget after horrible incidents, and keep that relation going, again and again, over and over, it’s not a healthy place to be in mentally; short-term and long-term."

Sometimes being too nice can lead to people taking advantage of you (trust me I’ve learnt from personal experiences MANY times). After you continuously forgive & forget after horrible incidents, and keep that relation going, again and again, over and over, it’s not a healthy place to be in mentally; short-term and long-term. If someone keeps hurting you, doesn’t trust you, keeps accusing you of things, stresses you out on the daily, you have to back away.

It’s just something which us humans cannot do easily because when we think about the good memories, we want to relive them. However at the end of the day if there are more times that the person is being disrespectful towards you and less times that they actually care, you have to back away. I’m the type of person to forgive and forget.. every.. single.. time. It’s not a bad thing until someone starts taking advantage of my niceness. That’s just rude... I hate holding grudges; grudges just make everything more awkward and make you think about the situation for longer. I read a quote somewhere and it went something like this “I want you to eat. I just don’t want you to eat with me.”

It’s tough taking a step away from someone but you feel happier and more free once you do. If you take that step back, you are automatically 5 steps ahead. Forgive and forget but don’t hold a grudge. Trust your friends, don’t take advantage of them and don’t let them take advantage of you, and be nice to everyone no matter what, you never know what battle they’re facing. Keep smiling, you. <3
