Keeping in touch with people is quite an important factor. Some of those amazing memories which you spent with people, you want to relive them. People who have been there with you in the hardest of times, do you really just want to lose contact with them after high-school, college, a work company, or in life? Take a minute to think about it and then read below. :)

"I’m not the kind of person who WANTS others to text first, but I do believe that equal contribution is important and one person should not always be messaging first."
I woke up with my alarm going off at 5:45 am. It interrupted a dream I was having. Someone was in the dream who i have not properly talked to in a little over a year. This person moved from my town and ever since then, we sort of just fell out (as in stopped talking often. Great memory to start off my morning, i know). Yes i was really sad that the dream ended but i also realized that i haven’t talked to this person in a while. All till first block of class i remembered all the memories which i had with this person.

There are some people which i haven’t been in touch with or haven’t talked to in a while. My goal is to get back in touch with these people. No, it’s not a New Year’s resolution. I don’t believe in them quite honestly. If you want to do something, do it now. Why wait? If you really are dedicated and want to make a change, start now. Work on it now. If you start now you can be further down the road with it in 2020. If you start later though, you will be at the beginning when you could be at a higher successful point if you started when you had the thought.

Definitely not trying to sound innocent and not guilty but for two people to stay in touch, both people should be putting in equally the same amount of effort. One person shouldn’t be constantly texting the other. With some of the ppl which i have not talked to for a while, i have not texted them, i agree which is why I’m accepting it. But at the same time, they haven’t texted me either. I’m not the kind of person who WANTS others to text first, but i do believe that equal contribution is important and one person should not always be messaging first. That said, i don’t think anyone is at fault in these kinds of situations. Sometimes it just happens that we get so busy in our lives.

It’s a few days later since I wrote this and I have messaged some people and caught up with them. It’s an amazing feeling when you catch up with someone you haven’t heard from in a long time.
Go on, open up your contacts and message someone who you haven’t talked to in a while. Catch up with them, listen to them, you might be able to bring a smile onto their face.
